This article comprises the contributions and the original expressions/ formulations of the Russian theologian Paul Evdokimov in his efforts to present the essence of the mystical life within the eastern tradition. The current study gathers explanations related to apophatic theology, epektasis, the knowledge of God, the mystical experience and the integration of culture in the ecclesiastical understanding.
