PORTRETUL LIBRARULUI NÉMETH – O LUCRARE INEDITĂ DIN CREAȚIA TIMPURIE A LUI SZÉKELY BERTALAN

Abstract

The Portrait of the Bookseller Németh – an Unknown Artwork from the Early Creation of Székely Bertalan. The study presents an unknown portrait from the early years of Székely Bertalan’s creation. The arguments on which the identification of the painter and the sitter’s portrait were based are presented. Also, the context in which the portrait was painted at Brașov in 1856 is presented and data are provided on the personality of the model, Wilhem Németh, bookseller.

REZUMAT. Studiul prezintă un portret anonim din anii de început ai creației lui Székely Bertalan. Sunt prezentate argumentele, pe care se bazează identificarea pictorului și a caracteristicilor portretului. De asemenea este prezentat și contextul, în care portretul a fost pictat în Brașov în 1856 și datele privind personalitatea librarului Wilhelm Nemeth.
