Publication History

Since 2008, Volume 3 of the journal Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai University Historia, entitled Art History, has become independent and changed its name to Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai University Historia Artium.

Dedicated to the history of art, the volume was published for the first time in 1996, in Vol. 3, entitled Art History, of the journal Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai Historia.

Romanian and foreign famous art historians, historians, philosophers, men of culture and young researchers published both in Romanian and international languages. Since 2002, works have been published in international languages. All articles are accompanied by abstracts in international languages.

The subject area is also intended as generous in order to accommodate interventions ranging from Ancient artifacts to Contemporary Art mediums, particularly focusing on art in Romania and its integration in a regional, European, and international context.

Diversity and interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies are thoroughly encouraged.

The journal is indexed in international databases such as CEEOL, EBSCO, ProQuest, ANVUR, BASE, it is officially acknowledged by Romanian National University Research Council (CNCSIS) and is an Open Acces Journal since 2021.

It is edited annually and the publishing terms and conditions follow the guidelines and norms of Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai.
