Publication History

Theologia Catholica Latina (Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai series) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology of Babeş-Bolyai University since 2000.

As one of the first scholarly theological journals that appeared in Romania after the fall of communism, the journal mainly published the research of the academic staff and colleagues from Hungary.

It acquired an international profile starting with 2005, with contributions from international scholars and the internationalisation of the editorial and advisory board.

The journal welcomes scholarly papers written in English, German, French and Italian.

Since 2005 it is published as a semi-annual journal. The two issues appear in June and December, respectively.

The structure of the journal is jointed on the studies and articles, books and reviews, grouped by domains. A significant part of the articles are published in the international languages.

As of September 2021 the Theologia Catholica Latina is an open access journal (Diamond Open Access).
