About the Journal

The publication Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Physica comes out in 1958 as an extension of the Bulletin of V. Babes and Bolyai Universities, Natural Sciences series. In 1958 the Physica series comes out under the editorship of Acad. C. Daicoviciu, and the articles are published in the Romanian and Hungarian languages.

Since 1962 the Physica series becomes Mathematica-Physica until 1969. In 1970 it changes back to Physica series, under the editorship of Professor St. Pascu. In the same year there appear the first foreign authors who publish in English. Since the 80's the articles are mainly published in international languages (English, French).

Starting with the 90's the articles sent for publication in Physica series go through the report procedure.

Aims and Scope

The publication publishes scientific articles from all the subject fields of physics, purposing to present the latest scientific results from the authors' fields of interest. Each manuscript sent for publication goes through the report procedure. Reviewers' commentaries are sent to the authors, and the final decision of publication belongs to the editorial staff.
Previously published articles are not accepted for publication. Manuscripts cannot be submitted elsewhere for publication while in review for Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Physica, although manuscripts may be deposited on a preprint server. Manuscripts that are derived from papers read at conferences cannot be submitted unless they have been previously published as part of the conference proceedings in a peer-reviewed volume.

The journal is published semesterly in June and December.
