Publication History

The publication Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Physica comes out in 1958 as an extension of the Bulletin of V. Babes and Bolyai Universities, Natural Sciences series. In 1958 the Physica series comes out under the editorship of Acad. C. Daicoviciu, and the articles are published in the Romanian and Hungarian languages.

Since 1962 the Physica series becomes Mathematica-Physica until 1969. In 1970 it changes back to Physica series, under the editorship of Professor St. Pascu. In the same year there appear the first foreign authors who publish in English. Since the 80's the articles are mainly published in international languages (English, French).

Starting with the 90's the articles  sent for publication (accepted only in English) in Physica series go through the report procedure. After the year 2000, Physica series publishes the papers of several international conferences held at Cluj. (PIM - Isotopic and Molecular Processes and NANOSPEC - Advanced Spectroscopies on Biomedical and Nanostructured Systems).

Since 2004, the editorial staff contains, besides the specialists of the Faculty of Physics from Cluj, some renowned specialists of the Universities from Bucharest, Iasi, Timisoara and the National Institute for Materials Physics Bucharest.
