Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript represents original work. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • All authors confirm this manuscript is devoid of plagiarism of any form (i.e., direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, or accidental plagiarism) with respect to ideas, data, words, graphic materials or other forms of communication and understand that this manuscript will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin anti-plagiarism software.
  • All authors have seen and approved the manuscript being submitted. Common agreement has been reached before submission. The corresponding author is responsible for the submission, on behalf of all co-authors. No additional authors might be added post submission, unless editors receive detailed explanation.
  • The submission files are prepared for upload: the manuscript (in Microsoft Word file format) and the declarations file.
  • The text is written in English and adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. For the articles written in languages other than English, the authors must provide the title of the article in English, also the abstract and keywords.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

 PUBLISHING AGREEMENT

 

Submission:
The articles can be sent at the following address: studia@rt.ubbcluj.ro, studiatrt@gmail.com, respecting the format (EN / HU) and the announced deadline.
Previously published articles are not accepted for publication. Manuscripts cannot be submitted elsewhere for publication while in review for Studia UBB Theol. Ref. Transylv., although manuscripts may be deposited on a preprint server. Manuscripts that are derived from papers read at conferences cannot be submitted unless they have been previously published as part of the conference proceedings in a peer-reviewed volume.
The editors’ committee would reject those papers which do not reach the quality level required for an academic journal. The authors will be announced on the acceptance or rejection if their papers and about the suggestions made by the reviewers.The report term of an article, starting with the moment of delivery to reviewers is of roughly two weeks. All papers are reviewed independently at least by two referees, but the authors are entirely responsible for the content of their papers. All published papers will become property of the journal.

Issues, Deadlines:
The journal is published semesterly in June and December.
The paper submission for the Studia UBB Theol. Ref. Transylv. volumes are programmed as follow:
- For the first number the deadline for receiving the studies is February 1;
- For the second number we accept the studies up to September 1.

Laudatio

Laudatio is meant to celebrate the life and work of prominent scholars and researches. It is not peer-reviewed and  does not receive doi numbers. It should not exceed 10 pages (in Studia UBB Th. Ref. Transylv. format).

Introductions & Arguments

Introductions & Arguments present the main topics of the volume. They are not peer-reviewed, and do not receive doi numbers. They should not exceed 12 pages (in Studia UBB Th. Ref. Transylv. format).

Book Reviews

Book reviews are presentations of original books. They are not peer-reviewed, and do not receive doi numbers. They should not exceed 10 pages (in Studia UBB Th. Ref. Transylv. format).

Privacy Statement

The data collected from registered and non-registered users of this journal falls within the scope of the standard functioning of peer-reviewed journals. It includes information that makes communication possible for the editorial process; it is used to informs readers about the authorship and editing of content; it enables collecting aggregated data on readership behaviors, as well as tracking geopolitical and social elements of scholarly communication.

This journal’s editorial team uses this data to guide its work in publishing and improving this journal. Data that will assist in developing this publishing platform may be shared with its developer Public Knowledge Project in an anonymized and aggregated form, with appropriate exceptions such as article metrics. The data will not be sold by this journal or PKP nor will it be used for purposes other than those stated here. The authors published in this journal are responsible for the human subject data that figures in the research reported here.

Those involved in editing this journal seek to be compliant with industry standards for data privacy, including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provision for “data subject rights” that include (a) breach notification; (b) right of access; (c) the right to be forgotten; (d) data portability; and (e) privacy by design. The GDPR also allows for the recognition of “the public interest in the availability of the data,” which has a particular saliency for those involved in maintaining, with the greatest integrity possible, the public record of scholarly publishing.
